Practice Makes Perfect

Cheese! Does anyone really think that saying `cheese`produces your best, most dazzling smileÉ Or do most of us just react with a slightly frozen grin? Aren`t smiles upposed to be a natural part of being happy to see someone? Or of just being happy - period?

Well, it turns out that like most things in life, a little smile practice can go a long way. Research has shown that performing smile exercises for just three minutes a day for a month can dramatically improve your smile. And it's simple. Sit in front of a mirror and begin to smile. Progress from a smaller to a larger smile, and then reverse the process, holding each stage for ten seconds.

There's also an exercise to increase the tone and strength of the muscles around the mouth, allowing a full, generous smile. First, make a full smile and hold the corneres of your mouth firmly with your fingers. Then slowly close the lips back to no smile against the resistance of the smile. Got that? Good. Next month... laughter!
